1. Acceptance of Terms

By using ReviewByte ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.

2. Eligibility and account registration

You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to connect and manage the business pages and data you link to ReviewByte. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account credentials secure.

3. Description of Service

ReviewByte automates review monitoring, AI reply generation, automatic posting of replies to connected platforms (subject to sensitive-review approval rules), and owner notifications via SMS and email. When you connect Google, Facebook, or Instagram using official APIs, you authorize ReviewByte to access and store your reviews (including historical reviews) and owner replies for the purpose of providing alerts, AI replies, analytics, and insights.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes attempts to interfere with or disrupt our systems, reverse engineer or scrape non-public portions of the Service, or use the Service for unlawful, abusive, or deceptive purposes. You are responsible for complying with the terms of connected platforms and applicable laws.

5. Your content and permissions

You retain ownership of content you submit or connect. You grant ReviewByte a limited license to host, process, analyze, and display that content solely to provide the Service. You represent that you have the rights needed to grant this permission.

6. Third-party platforms and services

The Service connects to third-party platforms such as Google, Facebook, and Instagram. Your use of those platforms is subject to their terms and policies, and their availability or API features may change. ReviewByte is not responsible for third-party outages, changes, or policy enforcement.

7. AI-generated content

AI replies are generated automatically and may require review in sensitive cases. You are responsible for the content posted on your behalf. ReviewByte does not guarantee the accuracy, tone, or appropriateness of AI-generated text.

8. Payment & Subscription

Subscriptions are billed monthly through our payment provider (Stripe) and renew automatically until cancelled.

You can cancel anytime in the dashboard; cancellation stops future renewals at the end of the current paid period. Unless otherwise stated, refunds or credits are not provided for partial billing periods.

New customers receive a 7-day free trial with full features. No credit card is required to start. If you do not subscribe after the trial, premium automation pauses until you upgrade.

Payments are processed by Stripe; ReviewByte does not store full card details.

9. SMS and Email Messaging

By providing your phone number and email address, you consent to receive automated SMS and service emails from ReviewByte about review alerts, sensitive-review approvals, and important account notifications for your own business pages. These messages are service/utility communications, not marketing campaigns. Message frequency varies based on your review volume - some days you may receive no messages, other days you may receive multiple alerts depending on review activity. Message & data rates may apply for SMS. You can reply STOP to opt out of SMS and HELP for help at any time. We do not sell or share your mobile information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if your use creates security or operational risk. You may cancel at any time in the dashboard. Data handling after termination is described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReviewByte disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReviewByte is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to ReviewByte in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ReviewByte from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or third-party rights.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms here and provide additional notice for material changes as required by law.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
