What we collect
Business profile data, review content and metadata, owner replies, contact details you provide, integration tokens/credentials needed to post replies on your behalf, and usage events for reliability and security.
When you connect Google Business Profile, Facebook, or Instagram, we may collect both new and historical reviews, ratings, comments, and owner replies from those platforms.
How we use data
- Generate and automatically post AI replies on your behalf (with special approval flow for sensitive reviews)
- Send SMS and email alerts and daily digests
- Detect negative trends and surface insights, including charts, health scores, and trends
- Power optional "catch-up" flows for recent unreplied reviews (only when you explicitly trigger them)
- Improve accuracy and reliability of the Service
We do not automatically respond to old reviews without your explicit action. Alerts start from connection time; historical data is used for analytics and optional catch-up only.
Data sharing
We only share with subprocessors needed to operate (e.g., hosting, analytics, messaging). We never sell your data.
Retention
We keep data only as long as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law. You can request deletion at any time. If you disconnect a platform, historical data already ingested may remain for analytics unless you request deletion consistent with this policy.
Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest where supported, scoped access keys, and least-privilege operational practices.
SMS and Email Messaging
If you provide your mobile number and email address, ReviewByte will send you automated SMS and service emails with review alerts, sensitive-review approvals (via SMS with approve/ignore options), and account notifications related to your own business pages. These communications are service/utility focused, not promotional marketing campaigns. Message frequency varies based on your review activity - some days you may receive no messages, other days you may receive multiple alerts depending on the volume of reviews and comments on your connected platforms. Message & data rates may apply for SMS. You can reply STOP to opt out of SMS and HELP for help at any time. We do not sell or share your mobile information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Payments
Subscriptions are billed via Stripe. ReviewByte does not store full card details; Stripe securely processes payment information.
