Facebook Login & Permissions

ReviewByte connects to your Facebook Page and (if linked) your Instagram Business account to send WhatsApp alerts for new comments/mentions and to generate owner-approved AI replies.

Why we request these permissions

• public_profile — basic account identity for the login session.
• pages_show_list — list the Pages you manage so you can pick one to connect.
• pages_read_engagement — read comments and posts in order to alert you.
• pages_manage_metadata — manage subscriptions (webhooks) so alerts are timely.
• pages_manage_engagement — enable owner-approved replies or likes from your Page identity.
• instagram_basic — discover the Instagram Business account linked to your Page.
• instagram_manage_comments — read and reply to Instagram comments when you approve.

How your data is used

• We fetch comments/mentions to generate alerts and AI reply suggestions.
• We only post replies when you tap “Approve” in WhatsApp or in the app.
• Tokens are encrypted; you can revoke any time from Facebook/Instagram settings.
